Quatre hommages

As we were putting this programme together, we noticed an unexpected coincidence: all of the works on the programme were conceived by their authors as tributes to other composers - either teachers, inspirational figures or musicians from another genre. The range of the names and institutions that are honoured extends from Beethoven (Ralf Hoyer), Gérard Grisey (Fausto Romitelli), and the Band Radiohead (Steve Reich) to the techno label Ostgut Ton and „Gefühl Berlin“ Berlin (Konstantin Heuer).
