Inventive, boldly forward-looking and always at the pulse of times: ensemble unitedberlin is an indispensable force on the international contemporary music scene. Since 1989, it has been bringing contemporary works to life, transcending boundaries both literally and figuratively, tackling difficult social issues, drawing attention to political injustices and commemorating pivotal historical events.
The ensemble’s soloists perform in the classical woodwind quintet formation. In their interpretation of contemporary compositions, their sound is redefined and presents itself with surprising colour.
